The call for entries really couldn't have come at a better time. I had recently had a MRI done of one of my knees and learned some fairly nifty things. Did you know that the cartilage in your knee is far slicker then Teflon? It creates a cushion between the bones of the leg that is practically frictionless. The knee cap "floats" in the front. The idea that there's some bone in your body just hanging around is...odd. It should all be connected like that song tells us, "with the leg bone connected to the knee bone, and the knee bone connected to the thigh bone...". Knees take some serious punishment, especially the female knee. How many cheerleaders have you seen in bulky, unfashionable knee braces? That's right. Knees are workhorses. Knees are weird.
